Working Differently in Rural Communities: A Public-Private Conversation
On June 11th and 12th, the National Rural Funders Collaborative, U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services convened a strategic group of people from key federal agencies and private foundations to explore new opportunities for working differently together to build capacity and build assets in Native American, Hispanic and African American communities and also to begin discussions about the idea of creating a public-private partnership for developing a “Rural Opportunity Investment Fund.” Notes from those two days of discussion are linked to this page, along with lists of those who participated. Your comments and feedback are welcomed: please send them to jr@nrfc.org.
