What is the work of NRFC?

Nationally, NRFC is working to bring about Rural Community Transformation in the following ways:

• Strengthening Rural Practice and performance through building a learning framework for articulating and measuring rural “success” in terms of rural outcomes in the areas of community wealth creation, family self-sufficiency, and leadership transformation;
  
  
• Expanding Philanthropy and leveraging public and private investment through increased funding for rural poverty and rural community transformation and by identifying best practices and models for sustainable support of rural initiatives; and
  
  
• Advancing Rural Policy that is informed by the transformative work within rural regions themselves and that recognizes the diverse and asset-rich context of rural places, which diversity and assets serve as the basis for their well-being, revitalization and lasting success.
