We believe that the conversation of philanthropy should have multiple levels of engagement striving to recognize various leveraging strategies that transcend the traditional philanthropic model.
NRFC believes that funding and leverage discussions must first engage a diverse cross section of stakeholders. Diversity in the sense of not only including those who are not typically in a position of power, but diversity that should also include a cross section of local, regional, and national partners working together to best leverage community assets. By developing a multi-faceted partnership like this, alternative models of funding and philanthropy can be simultaneously identified and implemented.
